Brian Conley is an artist based in New York and San Francisco. From radio performance to sculptural and sound-based installations, Conley's artistic practice operates between the divide of science and art. Appearing as anatomical models or artifacts from some future  time, Conley uses scientific research and political inquiry to construct new morphologies that humorously challenge our perceptions of humanity, nature, technology, and consciousness. He has had recent projects in Bitstreams at the Whitney Museum, Statements at ArtBasel,and a commission from ArtPace Foundation for Contemporary Art. Pseudanuran Gigantica  is currently at MassMoca in a show called  “Becoming Animal”. He is working at the Wanas foundation in Sweden on his next project. He is founding co-editor with Sina Najafi of  Cabinet Magazine, an international art and culture quarterly. He is also the new Chair of the Graduate Fine Art Program at California  College of the Arts in San Francisco.
