Akiko Sakaizumi:
Akiko Sakaizumi is a Japanese-born
new media artist living in
Williamsburg, NY and Mito, Japan. Her projects have been shown at the
Kanagawa Museum of Modern Art, Sculpture Center, White Box, Pierogi
2000, Diverseworks and The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia. Her
recent digital pieces use the framework of classic arcade video games
like space invaders in a new context of social and gender critique.

Limited edition of 20.
"Akiko Sakaizumi creates a queasy, video game-inspired narrative,
highlighted by a flying chicken body being shot at and impregnated by a
phallic cannon, and giving birth to its own head," writes Ben Davis for
the Artnet Magazine. Click
