Tim Redfern:LC101 by Tim Redfern
Tim Redfern is a video artist working in the fields of music visuals, music video and interactive installation. His work practice involves video, photography, 3D graphics and repurposing/ hacking free software tools with custom software plugins and minimalist imagery. His art draws on imagery evoking computing and video games from the 'golden era' of 8-bit computing. LC101 is an abstract, minimalist video piece which is inspired by the way that road or railway markings appear when they are viewed laterally, for instance from the window of a moving train. Bends in the direction of travel become visible as lazy lateral movements as the markings meander, split and join with others. These markings were simulated graphically in a three-dimensional space before being composited with feedback using custom real-time graphics techniques. See Tim Redfern's other projects.
Dimensions: 12 x 14 x 2-3/5 inches. Frame: Brushed aluminum. Cover: Treated acrylic Power supply: Small wall mounted, included. Each multiple of LC101 is self contained.
